Product Description
The CD gDNA Mini Bacteria Kit uses magnetic bead-based technology to provide rapid and efficient purification of up to 12 µg of genomic DNA from up to 0.5 mL of Gram-positive or Gram-negative bacterial culture (Figure 1) or an individual colony in less than 15 minutes after lysate preparation. • Optimized for higher-purity DNA extraction • Improved performance with accompanying magnetic rack • Cleaner purified plasmid for optimal downstream performance
Components
CD Magnetic Beads (25 mg / mL in 10 mM MES, pH 5.0, 10 mM NaCl, 0.1% Tween 20) CD Resuspension Buffer (R4) CD Lysis Buffer (L14) CD Binding Buffer (B8) CD Wash Buffer (W12) CD Elution Buffer (E5; 10 mM Tris-HCl, pH 8.5) Proteinase K (20 mg / mL in 50 mM Tris-HCl, pH 8.5, 5 mM CaCl2, 50% glycerol) RNase A (5 mg / mL in 10 mM Tris-HCl, pH 8.5, 10 mM EDTA)
Advantage / Highlights
High Quality, High Yield Plasmid DNA The CD gDNA Mini Bacteria Kit uses magnetic beads with a unique, ionizable functional group whose affinity for nucleic acids is pH-dependent to facilitate nucleic acid purification. Genomic DNA is isolated without the need for hazardous chemicals, centrifugation, or vacuum manifolds.
Applications
Cloning, PCR, Sequencing, Southern Blotting
Storage & Stability
All components of the CD gDNA (genomic DNA) Mini Bacteria Kit are shipped at room temperature. Upon receipt, store components as follows: Store Proteinase K at 4“C. Mix RNase A in Resuspension Buffer (R4) and store RNase A in Resuspension Buffer (R4) at 4“C. Store the remaining kit components at room temperature. All components are guaranteed stable for 6 months when stored properly.
